May 27th - EUCLID Trails XCB

This week's race is good to go and Online Registration is open for the race this Wednesday.  THERE WILL BE NO ONSITE REGISTRATION.  PRE-REGISTRATION ONLY!


This week's race is our super fun XCB race, or Mountain Biathlon event.  We have a mandatory safety orientation at 6:20.  No additional special equipment is needed for this event.  The air rifles, ammo, and targets are provided by our sponsors.  All participants must shoot at a target after each lap.  You will do a small penalty lap for each shot you miss.


You will still need your bike, helmet, shoes, and other riding gear... and don't forget your number plate!

Event Schedule:

  • Online registration will close for this event at 10 pm the night BEFORE the race. There will be NO ONSITE REGISTRATION, so be sure to register early 
  • New Racer Check-in: 5:30 - 6:20 p.m.
  • Mandatory Safety Orientation: 6:20 p.m.
  • Race start: 6:30 p.m.
  • Prize Raffle: Approx. 7:45 p.m.

Pro - 5 laps (13.75+ mi., 1835 elevation) 
Semi-pro - 4 laps (11.0+ mi., 1468 elevation)
Expert A - 4 laps (11.0+ mi., 1468 elevation)
Pro Women - 3 laps (8.25+ mi., 1101 elevation)
Expert B - 3 laps (8.25+ mi., 1101 elevation)
Expert C - 3 laps (8.25+ mi., 1101 elevation)

Expert Women - 3 laps (8.25+ mi., 1101 elevation)
Sport A -
2 laps (5.5+ mi., 734 elevation)
Sport B - 2 laps (5.5+ mi., 734 elevation)
Sport Women - 2 laps (5.5+ mi., 734 elevation)
Junior - 2 laps (5.5+ mi., 734 elevation)
Beginner - 1 lap (2.75+ mi., 367 elevation)

XCB Lap (2.75 mi., 367 elevation) - Each lap is followed by 5 shots at a target in the range, with 1 penalty lap (0.05 mi.) for each target missed.


If multiple lap distances are required, full laps must be completed before shorter laps.  Longest laps to shortest laps.  If this is completed out of order, your race result will be considered as a DNF.


* MAPS & LAPS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE AT ANY TIME FOR ANY REASON, BUT WILL BE SIMILAR TO WHAT IS LISTED HERE IF ANY CHANGES NEED TO BE MADE


Things to remember:

  • Category Changes: This will require the purchase of a new number plate, and will need approval in writing prior to the race for quick results.  Email [email protected] with your current race number and what category you want to change to.
  • If you already have your 2026 number plate, and have registered or have a season pass, all you need to do is show up and head to the start line.
  • If you have lost your 2026 number plate, you will need to buy a new number plate, and report to race organizers that you are replacing a lost number.  This way the series results will be correct with your new number plate.
  • If you need to pick up your season number plate, or are changing categories, head to racer check-in, to get your new number before heading to the start line.
